Women's Ministry
Women’s ministry is essential to the body of Christ. The Foursquare Church has a
great history of Women in ministry. The church was founded by Aimee Semple McPherson,
a farm girl from Canada who, through the power of God, envisioned a denomination centered
on Christ. With this foundation it is obvious that women’s ministry would be important to the
continued vision of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel and to River of Life as well.
Foursquare Women International is dedicated to affirming, equipping, mobilizing and releasing
the women in the Foursquare Church. The goal is to serve the local church by helping Foursquare
women discover their true identity in Christ Jesus, release their gifts in faithful service within their
local church, stand together in expressing to their communities and country those values which
exalt God and benefit their neighbors, and enjoy the freedom which Christ has given each
Spirit-filled woman in her home, church and career. In February 1995, women from across
North America and from several other nations gathered in Ft. Worth, Texas for the
First Foursquare Women's Leadership Conference. |

Elaine LeRoy wife of Pastor David LeRoy,
is gifted in women’s ministry. She is in
charge of FWI at River of Life Foursquare Church. |
River of Life supports and promotes the FWI goal. The first Thursday of every month is
dedicated to Women’s Ministry. Elaine LeRoy, wife of Pastor David LeRoy, is gifted in
women’s ministry. The format of the meeting generally starts with prayer followed by a
Bible study that is centered around specific women’s topics. After the study there are
refreshments (provided by different members of the meeting each month) and fellowship.
The fellowship is always enjoyable and provides a way for the women to become more connected.

Proverbs 31:30-31 Charm is deceptive,
and beauty does not last; but a woman
who fears the LORD will be greatly praised.
Reward her for all she has done. Let her
deeds publicly declare her praise. (NLT)
